BIO
I would like to introduce myself as a new member of the psychiatric community here in Savannah, Georgia. I have started a private practice in General Psychiatry and Addictive Disease. I have dedicated over 30 years of my career to Clinical Psychiatry. The majority of that time has been spent as the Clinical Director of several inpatient facilities in Atlanta, Georgia supervising staff, other psychiatrists, and training both medical students and psychiatric residents. I have worked in several collaborative relationships with my mental health colleagues and psychopharmacologists helping them manage patients who could benefit from medication management. As the Medical Director of Dual Diagnosis Program at Coastal Behavioral Health, I have treated approximately 1600 patients in the last year and a half. My current practice includes collaborative medication management with other mental health professionals in the community. I also assist other physicians with psychiatric consultations to help manage their patients psychiatric problems. I have a very active and dedicated approach. I listen very carefully to the nature of a patient's disturbances as well as any side effects associated with medications in order to modify or change dosages as needed. This enables me to help patients achieve the maximum therapeutic benefits. It has been proven, in my many years of experience, that a thorough treatment plan with the appropriate medication management is essential for successful recovery from psychiatric illnesses, addictive diseases, or dual diagnosis problems. I am fully committed to finding the right solutions for every patient through treatment, education, and encouragement. |
